Ending

OMG such a good ending. I especially like the part on page 258 when Bobby and his dad have the very powerful moment and they hug! So nice. They finally got the moment that they were waiting for. Also just quick notes, Kelsey asks Bobby to the dance! Colin is gay too and likes Joe! Addie goes out with DuShawn!
So many good things, it's so good. Oh and also Bobby's amazing speech. Bravo Bobby. That was great!

See you tommorow in novel groups!

  1. I didn't like it. This is what I wrote on Will's blog:

"Well, I don't think it SPOILED the book, but I have to agree, that they didn't really have to tell us about the last chapter. I think this, because it could've finished at the chapter before, with "To the gang of Five: May we all sprout wings and fly." But NO, they just had to give an epilogue, because Bobby thinks that we like epilogues.

Well, actually, Bobby gives us a choice for the last part, really. In fact, he said at the beginning of the last chapter, " IF YOU are the sort who wonders what becomes of the characters in a story after it's over, I will clue you into the future." In my opinion, he is suggesting that you didn't have to read the last part if you didn't want to. There's two sides to this.

Which side I pick? I pick your side, Will. Because he didn't even have to put it there in the first place. If anything else, he could've put it as a PROLOGUE for "Totally Joe". But I think that wouldn't run smoothly. So yeah."

I know this isn't what you are talking about EXACTLY, but let me continue.

You're talking about the part of the book that was all HAPPY, and you said that there was a happy ending to the book. BUT, in my opinion, you should be SAD, not HAPPY.

I mean, they lost the election. He even said on pg. 236, "HERE ARE some of the things that could have happened on Wednesday and I would not have noticed..." After, he listed like, 6 things. He kid about him not noticing Kelsey asking out with him, but he listed it in the first place, which in my opinion, meant that he put a considerable thought into it.

Which means that in my opinion (again), he cared more about the election than Kelsey. And they lost. Therefore, Kelsey isn't enough of a weight to balance out the disappointment of losing the election. Oh god, I'm going into math now...

I'll end this post now, because no one in the "Flipped" or "Heartbeat" liked it when I did some math in NOVEL groups. Well, they didn't say that, but if I was rebellious to math (chuckle), and if someone else posted math on novel group blogs, then I would feel annoyed. So yes, I'll stop. Right now.

  2. I do not agree with you Stephen because Bobby is predicting what the Gang Of Five will do in the future. I do agree with you though in the part about the ending being too HAPPY because like every thing I said in my post. The only sad part of the ending was when they lost the election on page 159. Sure it worked out great for everyone (except for losing the election) but everyone was HAPPY but some more things could have gone worse. Other then that, the book was GREAT,and the best part of the book was the end.

  3. I disagree with YOU, because I think that Bobby isn't predicting- He's actually telling about the future. We dicussed this in our novel groups today, that when Bobby is "clueing in", he's actually giving us a hint of what REALLY happened to them.
